Taking a break from photographing little ones, this shoot was of three beautiful sisters. What was neat about this session is that each time one of them passes a major milestone (graduation, engagement, etc), they have a portrait of the 3 of them done. And because Leslie is graduating and Stacey is getting married, I was bestowed with the honor of taking this special family portrait. We had so much fun catching up (it’s worth mentioning that I grew up living mere yards from these ladies). It was so much fun and they were such great models! Here are some of my favorites.

August 29, 2009

“We are daughters, sisters, husbands and fathers. We are roommates, best friends and soul mates. images-for-cure-buttonWe are photographers with a passion for giving back. On October 11, 2009, we will unite our talents to contribute one day of session fees in support of breast cancer research. 100% of all session fees collected on this date will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. We are hopeful, that with your support we will find a cure in our lifetime.” ~Images For A Cure

If you’re new to Lori Jackson Photography, something you may not know is that my mom is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She has been battling stage 3 breast cancer since January and is kicking its butt! Breast cancer runs in my family (it’s in the genes - literally) so finding a cure is a cause that I am quite passionate about. So when I saw the link to http://www.imagesforacure.com, I jumped at the chance to participate in helping to fund the cure.

So here’s the deal, I am offering a limited number of mini portrait sessions on October 10th AND 11th with 100% of the proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. Mini sessions can be of families, children, babies, bellies, couples… These mini sessions will last 45min and will cost $75 each. If you’re interested in joining me to fight for this cause or would like more details, please contact me. Space is limited, so book your mini session today!

Jessica + Nick = LOVE

August 17, 2009

Jessica and Nick are one of the sweetest and cutest couples I have ever had the privilege of working with! Jessica is a graphic design major and is very interested in photography, so of course we hit it off from the very start. They wanted a location that was unique for their engagement portraits so Allyson staked out the perfect spot! We had so much fun with these two and cannot wait to photograph their wedding next Spring!

I had the great pleasure of photographing headshots for Brian Hamlet of mPower Consulting. This is the second time I have taken professional headshots for Brian and each time I have so much fun hanging out with him and his wonderful wife, Lauren. This time I also took a few shots of Brian and Lauren together… what fun!

Portraits | Salina

November 4, 2008

I have been so excited about these portraits since I took them over a week ago!  This is Salina, a friend of mine who has an amazing story!  She graciously allowed me to photograph her and I am so glad that I did.  I had an extremely hard time picking out my favorites though.  While editing, my husband asked what I did to make her skin glow.. the answer is absolutely nothing.  Seriously, her skin is just that radiant.  All I did was apply the “Lori Touch”.  The shots were flawless directly from the camera! I had the wonderful privilege of shooting headshots for Salon Piper Glen. The staff and stylists there are so much fun! We found this great burgundy painted brick wall out back that made an excellent backdrop for these modern-looking headshots. These and other images will be displayed on their website very soon: http://www.salonpiperglen.com/. I cannot wait to see my work “published”!  All the images turned out great; here are a select few that I couldn’t resist posting.  For more, check out my Flickr.
