My last photo session of 2009 was of Baby Elise. What a cutie she is! You would never know it, but she was fighting a nasty chest cold. We were worried that the shoot would need to be postponed, but as soon as the camera came out, she turned into quite the sweet little model. Here are some of my favorites from the session.
Owen and Elliott were an absolute pleasure to photograph. These boys were so happy during the entire session, it made my job so much fun! Owen is three and loves to talk; he kept telling me all kinds of cute little stories. Elliott is one of the happiest 11 month olds I’ve seen and gave me more smiles than I could have ever asked for. These are some of my favorites, though there were so many more.
These spiffy blue shoes have a great story. Owen’s mom got them for him in Africa before he was ever born, in hopes that one day she might have a little boy. Now that he’s three, he can finally fit into them and has worn them all the time. I asked him to show me his shoes and how cute is the response I got!
Owen and Elliott’s grandma knitted the entire family these cute matching socks. We just had to get some photos of them!
Newborn babies are just so peaceful and precious. Cadence was no exception! She is absolutely beautiful and was such a joy to photograph. Here are some of my favorites from this shoot.

If you’re new to Lori Jackson Photography, something you may not know is that my mom is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She has been battling stage 3 breast cancer since January and is kicking its butt! Breast cancer runs in my family (it’s in the genes - literally) so finding a cure is a cause that I am quite passionate about. So when I saw the link to http://www.imagesforacure.com, I jumped at the chance to participate in helping to fund the cure.
So here’s the deal, I am offering a limited number of mini portrait sessions on October 10th AND 11th with 100% of the proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. I have been friends with Melanie and Richard since we were in middle and high school. Mack joined their sweet, little family six months ago and I was THRILLED to have the chance to photograph Baby Mack on the outside (photos from when Mack was still on the inside)! Mack was a complete joy to photograph… he was calm and happy, worked my camera like a pro! I just love photographing babies!!
Allyson and I had the best time photographing the Murray family. This is the third time I’ve done formal family portraits for them (second shoot here). The main reason for this shoot was to welcome the addition of Oliver Jack, Harper and Calvary’s new little brother. Having three children (one being a newborn) can make travel to a photo shoot quite a challenge, so we went to their house instead, which ended up to be the best plan ever because the children were in their element; they did not have to “adjust” to new surroundings and the shoot went flawlessly. It was a gorgeous day, so we spent some time in the back yard following the kids around on the swing set and trampoline. Here are some photos from the shoot… I had a hard time picking out my favorites! Thank you Murray family for being so AWESOME!!
