If you’re new to Lori Jackson Photography, something you may not know is that my mom is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She has been battling stage 3 breast cancer since January and is kicking its butt! Breast cancer runs in my family (it’s in the genes - literally) so finding a cure is a cause that I am quite passionate about. So when I saw the link to http://www.imagesforacure.com, I jumped at the chance to participate in helping to fund the cure.

So here’s the deal, I am offering a limited number of mini portrait sessions on October 10th AND 11th with 100% of the proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. Mini sessions can be of families, children, babies, bellies, couples… These mini sessions will last 45min and will cost $75 each. If you’re interested in joining me to fight for this cause or would like more details, please contact me. Space is limited, so book your mini session today!

An Arobella Lily

August 28, 2009

I took these photos with my Lensbaby Composer back in July. I am just now getting around to posting them. For these, I used the macro kit to get closeup on this beautiful flower. You can buy prints of these photos at my Etsy shop. Comments are also welcome.

Little Maddy + Mom and Dad

This sweet little girl has a smile that will just melt your heart! I had so much fun photographing her and her family. Here are a few of my favorite shots…

Harper Goes to School

August 22, 2009

This sweet little girl is often the subject of my photographs. Her mom, Cassie, is a very good friend of mine who is also very gracious in letting me get creative with the photographs I take of Harper. Here’s a little back story on these photos… Harper starts Kindergarten this fall and Cassie wanted to remember this moment in Harper’s life with some “back to school” portraits. We took some studio shots with an old (1950s style) desk I found at a local antique store and also ventured to a nearby elementary school. The only school-related item that we could not find was a yellow school bus. Of course, with schools being on summer vacation, all the buses were gone. Regardless, the three of us had so much taking these!

Jessica + Nick = LOVE

August 17, 2009

Jessica and Nick are one of the sweetest and cutest couples I have ever had the privilege of working with! Jessica is a graphic design major and is very interested in photography, so of course we hit it off from the very start. They wanted a location that was unique for their engagement portraits so Allyson staked out the perfect spot! We had so much fun with these two and cannot wait to photograph their wedding next Spring!

Mack | Infant Portraits

August 16, 2009

I have been friends with Melanie and Richard since we were in middle and high school. Mack joined their sweet, little family six months ago and I was THRILLED to have the chance to photograph Baby Mack on the outside (photos from when Mack was still on the inside)! Mack was a complete joy to photograph… he was calm and happy, worked my camera like a pro! I just love photographing babies!!

I had the great pleasure of photographing headshots for Brian Hamlet of mPower Consulting. This is the second time I have taken professional headshots for Brian and each time I have so much fun hanging out with him and his wonderful wife, Lauren. This time I also took a few shots of Brian and Lauren together… what fun!
